साधर्म्यादसिद्धेः प्रतिषेधासिद्धिः प्रतिषेध्यसाधर्म्याच्च

यदि किसी विषय में समानता के आधार पर कोई बात प्रमाणित नहीं होती, तो निषेध (प्रतिषेध) भी प्रमाणित नहीं हो सकता। विशेषतः, जब निषेध्य वस्तु के समानता के कारण प्रमाण न हो, तब निषेध का भी प्रमाण नहीं होता। यह सूत्र बताता है कि जब प्रमाण (प्रमाणन) में समानता के कारण असिद्धि होती है, तो निषेध का भी प्रमाणन नहीं हो सकता।

If, due to similarity, something is not established, then the negation of that thing also cannot be established. Specifically, when there is similarity with the object to be negated, and this leads to non-establishment, the negation itself remains unproven. This sūtra explains that when non-establishment arises from similarity, the negation also cannot be established.
