Commentary (टीका)

In this verse, the focus is on the philosophical method of understanding the non-dual reality. The terms *'jahati'* and *'ajahati'* indicate methods of exclusion and inclusion, respectively, highlighting techniques used in Vedic interpretation for comprehending ultimate truth. However, neither method alone suffices. Instead, a synthesis of both views, an *ubhaya-artha-ātmika* approach, is essential to achieve *akhaṇḍa-ekarasatva*, the indivisible and singular essence, emphasizing an integrated understanding for spiritual wisdom. The *lakṣaṇa* method ensures subtle discernment crucial to Vedantic studies.
