इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जो वस्तुएँ प्रत्यक्ष नहीं हैं, उनकी सिद्धि प्रत्यक्ष के माध्यम से होती है। अर्थात्, अप्रत्यक्ष वस्तुओं का प्रमाण या प्रमाणन प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव के आधार पर किया जाता है। न्याय दर्शन में यह सिद्धांत है कि अप्रत्यक्ष का ज्ञान प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण के आधार पर ही संभव है।
