इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जैसे मन्त्र और आयुर्वेद की प्रमाणिकता मानी जाती है, वैसे ही उनकी प्रमाणिकता का आधार आप्त (विश्वसनीय व्यक्ति) की प्रमाणिकता है। अर्थात्, मन्त्र और आयुर्वेद प्रमाण माने जाते हैं क्योंकि वे आप्त पुरुष द्वारा प्रमाणित हैं।
