इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जो हेत्वाभास (मिथ्या कारण) हैं, वे वैसे ही हैं जैसे पूर्व में (इस ग्रंथ में) बताए गए हैं। अर्थात्, जिन कारणों को प्रमाण के समान समझा जाता है, परंतु वे वास्तव में प्रमाण नहीं हैं, उनकी प्रकृति पहले ही स्पष्ट की जा चुकी है।

This sūtra states that fallacious reasons (hetvābhāsas) are as described earlier in the text. That is, those reasons which appear to be valid inferential marks but are actually not valid have already been defined and explained previously.
