स्वपक्षलक्षणापेक्षोपपत्त्युपसंहारे हेतुनिर्देशे परपक्षदोषाभ्युपगमात् समानो दोषः

यदि अपने पक्ष की परिभाषा के आधार पर तर्क का समापन करते समय, प्रमाण (हेतु) का उल्लेख करते हुए, प्रतिपक्ष में दोष को स्वीकार किया जाता है, तो वही दोष अपने पक्ष में भी लागू होता है। अर्थात्, यदि प्रतिपक्ष में जिस त्रुटि को स्वीकार किया गया है, वह तर्क की प्रक्रिया में अपने पक्ष पर भी समान रूप से लागू हो जाती है।

If, while concluding the argument based on the definition of one’s own position and specifying the reason, a defect in the opponent’s position is accepted, then the same defect applies to one’s own position as well. That is, the flaw acknowledged in the opponent’s argument equally affects the proponent’s own thesis in the process of reasoning.
