नः घटाद् घटानिष्पत्तेः

इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जब घट (घड़ा) की उत्पत्ति नहीं होती, तब उसके कारण का अभाव अनुमानित किया जाता है। अर्थात्, किसी वस्तु की उत्पत्ति न होने पर उसके कारण के न होने का ज्ञान होता है। यह न्यायशास्त्र में हेत्वाभास और अनुमान के सिद्धांत को स्पष्ट करता है।

English

This sūtra states that when the pot does not come into existence, the absence of its cause is inferred. In other words, the non-origination of an object leads to the knowledge of the absence of its cause. This elucidates the Nyāya principle of inference and the understanding of causal absence.
