इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जिस प्रकार जलती हुई लकड़ी के घूमते चक्र को देखने पर एक सतत् वृत्त का अनुभव होता है, वैसे ही (पूर्वोक्त) वस्तु की उपलब्धि भी उसके शीघ्र गति के कारण उत्पन्न होती है। यहाँ पर ज्ञापन की प्रक्रिया को तेज गति के कारण उत्पन्न भ्रम के रूप में समझाया गया है।

English

This sūtra states that just as the perception of a rotating firebrand appears as a continuous circle due to its rapid movement, in the same way, the cognition (of the previously mentioned object) arises because of its swift motion. Here, the process of cognition is explained as being analogous to the illusion produced by rapid movement.
