यथोक्तहेतुत्वात् पारतन्त्र्यादकृताभ्यागमाच्च न मनसः

यह सूत्र कहता है कि मन का उत्पत्ति-कारण वह नहीं है जो पहले बताया गया था, क्योंकि मन में दूसरे पर निर्भरता है और उसका आगमन स्वयं के द्वारा नहीं होता। अतः मन आत्मा के समान स्वतन्त्र नहीं है, बल्कि वह अन्य कारणों पर निर्भर करता है।

English

This sūtra states that the cause of the mind is not the same as the previously stated cause, because the mind is dependent on something else and its arising is not self-caused. Therefore, unlike the self, the mind is not independent but relies on other factors for its existence.
