इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि मन बाह्य नहीं है, क्योंकि उसकी वृत्ति या कार्यशीलता शरीर के भीतर ही होती है। मन की गतिविधि आन्तरिक है, इसलिए उसे बाह्य नहीं माना जा सकता।

This sūtra states that the mind is not external, because its functioning occurs within the body. The activity of the mind is internal, and thus it cannot be considered as something external.
