Translation/Explanation

Hindi: इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि गंध आदि गुणों का जो स्वभाव है, वह अन्य वस्तुओं से पृथक नहीं होता, अर्थात् उनका अव्यतिरेक है। इसी कारण इन गुणों का निषेध नहीं किया जा सकता। यानी, गंध आदि के अस्तित्व का निषेध नहीं किया जा सकता क्योंकि उनका स्वभाव अन्य वस्तुओं से अविभाज्य है।

English: This sūtra states that the property of smell and similar qualities is inseparable from the substances they reside in. Because of this inseparability, the negation or denial of the existence of such qualities is not possible. In other words, the existence of smell and related qualities cannot be denied, as their nature is inherently bound to their substratum.
