इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जब श्वास (सांस लेना) और उच्छास (सांस छोड़ना) का अभाव अनुभव होता है, तब वह स्थिति चार भौतिक तत्त्वों (पृथ्वी, जल, अग्नि, वायु) से बनी हुई मानी जाती है। इसका तात्पर्य यह है कि श्वास-प्रश्वास के अभाव की उपलब्धि से चतुर्भौतिक शरीर की पहचान होती है।

English

This sūtra states that the absence of inhalation and exhalation, when apprehended, is considered as pertaining to the body composed of the four material elements (earth, water, fire, air). In other words, the recognition of the absence of breathing is indicative of the fourfold material composition of the body.
