इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि जहाँ निश्चितता (नियम) का कारण है, वहाँ अनिश्चितता (अनियम) उत्पन्न नहीं होती। अर्थात, यदि किसी विषय में निश्चितता है, तो वहाँ अनिश्चितता नहीं रह सकती। यह न्याय के तर्क में विरोधाभास के सिद्धांत को दर्शाता है, जहाँ एक ही समय में किसी वस्तु में निश्चितता और अनिश्चितता दोनों नहीं हो सकते।

English

This sūtra states that where there is a cause for determinacy (niyama), the absence of determinacy (aniyama) does not arise. In other words, if there is determinacy regarding a subject, then indeterminacy cannot remain. This reflects the Nyāya principle of contradiction, where both determinacy and indeterminacy cannot coexist in the same context.
