इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि यदि किसी मत को स्वीकार कर समय के भेद को माना जाए, तो दोष का कथन उत्पन्न होता है। अर्थात्, जब हम किसी तर्क में विभिन्न समयों का भेद मानते हैं, तो उससे तर्क में दोष उत्पन्न होता है, जिसकी चर्चा की गई है।
