Commentary (टीका)

This profound verse from Advaita Vedanta philosophy encapsulates the concept of non-duality or advaita. It negates the distinctions of cessation, origination, bondage, seeking, the desire for liberation, and liberation itself, pointing towards the ultimate reality that transcends all dualities. According to the paramārtha, or the ultimate truth, these categories are merely constructs of the mind and do not hold in the state of true realization. In this realization, the individual perceives everything as non-different from the singular, undivided reality. The verse emphasizes the transcendence of all dualistic notions, highlighting the non-dual nature of reality.
