Commentary (टीका)
This sloka beautifully draws a parallel between the natural phenomenon of darkness disappearing in sunlight and the metaphysical process of all perceptible phenomena merging into the ultimate reality, Brahman. It reflects the core Vedantic belief in advaita, non-duality, where the multiplicity of the universe is ultimately resolved in the supreme consciousness, Brahman. Just as the sun dispels darkness effortlessly, realization of the self's unity with Brahman dispels the illusion of separateness and diversity in the world.
