Commentary (टीका)

This verse illustrates the nature of someone immersed in constant bliss (*nirantara ānanda*). Such a person transcends the dualities of attachment and detachment (*sajjataviṣayair*), remaining unchanged by external pleasures or pains. Instead, they revel in the self, demonstrating the essence of *ātmarati* (self-rejoicing) and *ātmakrīḍa* (self-play). This detachment is not negation but a deep, fulfilling contentment found within—illustrating the ultimate spiritual state described as *tṛpti* (satisfaction) in Vedantic tradition. Through such realization, the subject experiences *nirvikalpa*—a state beyond duality and conceptualization.
