Commentary (टीका)

This verse elucidates the honor and achievements of an aspirant who seeks liberation. The *śrīguru* acknowledges the aspirant's blessed state and accomplishments, emphasizing that their lineage is sanctified due to their noble pursuit. The aspiration to be liberated from *avidyā*, ignorance's bondage, in order to unite with *Brahman* is highlighted as a supreme goal. This reveals the central Vedantic ideal: seeking *mukti* or liberation as the ultimate objective of life and highlighting the transformative role of a guru in facilitating this spiritual journey.
