Commentary (टीका)

This verse articulates the steadfastness and focus of the wise who dwell in the realization of *Brahman*. It likens the clarity of a Jñāni (wise person) to the recollection of a dream, implying that just as one does not pay heed to the dream after waking, the wise remain unperturbed by worldly engagements while being anchored in the *para-brahmaṇa* (Supreme Brahman). This state transcends ordinary perception, where the true self (*sat ātmanā*) remains unaffected by the transient activities like eating or releasing (*prāśana-mocana-ādau*), similar to having the memory of a dream without being affected by it. The verse emphasizes an internal state of *nirvāṇā* or liberation within day-to-day life.
