Commentary (टीका)

This verse underlines the significance of *vicāra* (contemplation) of the *vedānta-artha* (meaning of Vedantic texts) for attaining *uttamam jñānam* (supreme knowledge). It emphasizes that such knowledge is pivotal for the *nāśa* (destruction) of *saṁsāra-duḥkha* (worldly suffering). The verse suggests that deep understanding and realization of Vedantic principles lead to emancipation from the cyclic existence characterized by sorrow. The process of philosophical inquiry is portrayed as a transformative practice that offers ultimate peace and liberation.
