स्वमसङ्गमुदासीनं परिज्ञाय नभो यथा। न श्लिष्यति च यत्किंचित्कदाचिद्भाविकर्मभिः ॥ ४४९ ॥

Just as the sky remains unattached and indifferent, never clinging to anything through future actions.

This verse emphasizes the qualities of detachment and indifference akin to the sky’s nature. The sky exists without attachment, unperturbed by events occurring within it. Similarly, individuals should recognize their intrinsic purity as the unattached self, unaffected by past, present, or future actions (karma). Achieving such asaṅga (detachment) and udāsīnatā (indifference) leads to a state of peace and liberation from the cycles of karma. Through self-realization, one can resonate with the infinite and unattached nature of nabha (the sky).
