Translation (अनुवाद)
For one who has realized the essence of Brahman, there is no longer worldly existence. If it persists, then that realization of Brahman is not authentic, it is outward-focused.

Commentary (टीका)
This verse underscores the profound transformation inherent in the realization of Brahman. When one truly grasps the essence of Brahman, worldly ties and cyclic existence, or saṁsṛti, naturally fade away. This suggests that realization is not merely intellectual but deeply experiential, resulting in liberation from the cycle of birth and death. The continuation of worldly existence despite this supposed realization indicates that the understanding is outward-focused, or bahirmukha, rather than deep and internal. This verse emphasizes the necessity of sincere and profound inner transformation on the path to true knowledge.
