वर्तमानेऽपि देहेऽस्मिञ्छायावदनुवर्तिनि । अहन्ताममताभावो जीवन्मुक्तस्य लक्षणम् ॥ ४३१ ॥

Commentary (टीका)
In this verse, the state of jīvanmukti or living liberation is vividly described. It defines the liberated soul's experience where the deha or body persists insignificantly like a shadow. Ahantā or the sense of ego and mamatā or possessiveness have completely dissolved in such a person. This signifies the attainment of a state where worldly ties no longer affect the soul's reality. This detachment and non-possession, despite bodily existence, mark the hallmark of true realization and freedom in life itself. Such a state is described in Vedantic texts as the pinnacle of spiritual evolution.
