Commentary (टीका)

This verse speaks to the profound state of self-realization where the individual self, *ātman*, and the supreme reality, *Brahman*, are seen as indistinct. The term *nirvikalpā* emphasizes the non-dual nature of this realization, a state free from differentiation. It establishes that the pure consciousness, devoid of any modification, is recognized as true wisdom, *prājña*. Such a person who remains firmly rooted in this state of awareness is identified as *sthitaprajña*, denoting a person of unwavering wisdom. This state reflects a mind that has transcended dualities and remains in the clarity of pure consciousness.
