Sloka (श्लोक)

प्रारब्धसूत्रग्रथितं शरीरं
प्रयातु वा तिष्ठतु गोरिव स्रक् ।
न तत्पुनः पश्यति तत्त्ववेत्ता
(आ)नन्दात्मनि ब्रह्मणि लीनवृत्तिः ॥ ४१६ ॥

Transliteration (लिप्यांतरण)

prārabdha-sūtra-grathitaṁ śarīraṁ prayātu vā tiṣṭhatu goriva srak | na tat punaḥ paśyati tattvavettā (ā)nandātmani brahmaṇi līnavṛttiḥ || 416 ||

Translation (अनुवाद)

One who is absorbed in the blissful self, does not see the body whether it stays bound or falls like a discarded garland.

Commentary (टीका)

This sloka speaks to the state of transcendence experienced by a tattvavettā, or a knower of truth. Such a person, absorbed in the blissful state of ānanda and completely merged in brahman, does not concern themselves with the physical disposition of the body. The body, bound by prārabdha, may continue or fall away like a discarded srajaḥ (garland), yet the tattvavettā remains indifferent, not experiencing the dualities affecting the body. This underscores the detachment from physical identity and the realization of one's true nature as ānandātman, beyond birth and death.
