Commentary (टीका)
This verse focuses on the practice of meditation on the true self, described as sarva-upādhi-vinirmuktam (free from all limitations) and saccidānanda-advayam (existence-consciousness-bliss and non-dual). The objective of such meditation is to transcend the cycle of rebirth, thus not creating future adhvane (paths). It emphasizes the need for realizing one's inherent nature, beyond temporary and illusory identities or limitations. In doing so, one can attain liberation from saṃsāra (worldly existence), ultimately experiencing the unchanging reality of the self. The verse urges one to abide in the self (ātma-stham) to avoid the creation of future suffering and karmic bonds.
