Sloka (श्लोक)

अनन्यत्वमधिष्ठानादारोप्यस्य निरीक्षितम् ।
पण्डितै रज्जुसर्पादौ विकल्पो भ्रान्तिजीवनः ॥ ४०६ ॥

अनन्यत्वम् अधिष्ठानात् आरोप्यस्य निरीक्षितम्। पण्डितैः रज्जु-सर्प-आदौ विकल्पः भ्रान्ति-जीवनः॥

Transliteration (लिप्यांतरण)

ananyatvam adhiṣṭhānāt āropyasya nirīkṣitam | paṇḍitaiḥ rajju-sarpa-ādau vikalpaḥ bhrānti-jīvanaḥ || 406 ||

Translation (अनुवाद)

The illusion, as seen by the learned, is like the rope-snake and is sustained by misconception, despite the one underlying reality.
