Sloka (श्लोक)

समाहितायां सति चित्तवृत्तौ
परात्मनि ब्रह्मणि निर्विकल्पे ।
न दृश्यते कश्चिदयं विकल्पः
प्रजल्पमात्रः परिशिष्यते यतः ॥ ३९८ ॥

Transliteration (लिप्यांतरण)

samāhitāyāṁ sati citta-vṛttau parātmani brahmaṇi nirvikalpe | na dṛśyate kaścid ayaṁ vikalpaḥ prajalpamātraḥ pariśiṣyate yataḥ || 398 ||

Translation (अनुवाद)

In the settled mind at the ultimate, non-dual Brahman, no doubts are perceived; only idle talk remains.

Commentary (टीका)

This verse explains the state of mind when it is fully concentrated and merged in the non-dual Brahman. In this state, all forms of vikalpa or doubts vanish. The text suggests that what remains is merely prajalpa, pointless or idle talk that does not originate from true knowledge or perception. It implies the importance of attaining a state of mind that is aligned with ultimate reality, beyond dualistic concerns or verbal distractions. The anvaya beautifully captures how, upon reaching inner stillness in the ultimate reality, the mind transcends doubt and insignificant chatter.
