Sloka (श्लोक)

समाहिता ये प्रविलाप्य बाह्यं
श्रोत्रादि चेतः स्वमहं चिदात्मनि ।
त एव मुक्ता भवपाशबन्धैः
नान्ये तु पारोक्ष्यकथाभिधायिनः ॥ ३५६ ॥

Transliteration (लिप्यांतरण)

samāhitā ye pravilāpya bāhyaṁ śrotrādi cetaḥ svamahaṁ cidātmani | ta eva muktā bhavapāśabandhaiḥ nānye tu pārokṣyakathābhidhāyinaḥ || 356 ||

Translation (अनुवाद)

Only those who internalize the external senses and mind into the Self are liberated from worldly bonds, not those who merely speak of indirect knowledge.

Commentary (टीका)

This verse emphasizes the need for deep concentration and internalization of external experiences into the conscious Self to achieve liberation. Mere intellectual discourse or indirect knowledge is not enough for true liberation. *Samādhi*, or profound concentration, is required to dissolve the self (ego) and senses into the *cit*, the pure consciousness. This integration leads to overcoming *bhavapāśa*, the bindings of worldly existence. Indirect knowledge as signified by *pārokṣyakathābhidhāyin* may offer insight but does not free one from spiritual bondage.
