Commentary (टीका)

This verse explains the concept of false perceptions and the manifestation of the mind. Just as iron manifests the quality of fire when in union with it, the mind exhibits various forms through its association with reality. However, the resultant effects, like illusions encountered in dreams and fantasies, are ultimately realized as false. This highlights the importance of discerning reality from temporary and illusory experiences. The verse serves as a metaphor for understanding the transient nature of mental impressions and the folly of conflating them with absolute reality.
