Commentary (टीका)

This sloka compares the presence of *advaya-ānanda* or non-dual bliss to the rising of the sun, which eliminates darkness. Just as the sun dispels darkness and its fearful effects, the realization of non-duality annihilates the illusions of bondage and sorrow, revealing a state free from suffering. It draws from Vedantic philosophy, suggesting that awareness of one’s true nature as non-dual consciousness eradicates false identification with limited phenomena, leading to liberation. The imagery indicates how inner spiritual realization outshines the metaphoric darkness of ignorance, removing all traces of worldly suffering.
