Commentary (टीका)

In this verse, the term "ताभ्यां" (tābhyāṁ) refers to elements or factors contributing to the cycle of 'saṁsṛti' (transmigration), a philosophical concept denoting the soul's journey through different states of existence due to actions and desires. The expansion denoted by "प्रवर्धमाना" (pravardhamānā) implies the growth or escalation of these influences. The verse also mentions a means for the "क्षय" (kṣaya), referring to cessation or ending of the cycle associated with the three primary afflictions or components that lead to bondage. The comprehensive applicability of this means "सर्वावस्थासु सर्वदा" (sarvavasthāsu sarvadā) emphasizes a universal and timeless approach, suggesting that spiritual liberation or cessation is achievable in all states of existence and at all times. Interpretations might delve into the specific nature of the "ताभ्यां" (tābhyāṁ) elements and "त्रयाणां" (trayāṇāṁ), identifying them in specific spiritual or philosophical contexts.
