वासनावृद्धितः कार्यं कार्यवृद्ध्या च वासना । वर्धते सर्वथा पुंसः संसारो न निवर्तते ॥ ३१३ ॥

vāsanā-vṛddhitaḥ kāryaṁ kārya-vṛddhyā ca vāsanā | vardhate sarvathā puṁsaḥ saṁsāro na nivartate || 313 ||
Translation (अनुवाद)
Due to the increase of desires, actions proliferate, and through the proliferation of actions, desires increase. In every way, the worldly existence of a person grows and never ceases.

Commentary (टीका)
This sloka brings out the cyclical nature of human existence governed by desires and actions. Vāsanā (desires) lead to kārya (actions), and these actions cause further intensification of desires.
