Commentary (टीका)
This verse reflects on the cyclical nature of cause and effect between actions (kārya) and potential outcomes or seeds (bīja). The teaching encourages an understanding that by enhancing actions, one inevitably promotes the growth of potential outcomes. Conversely, the destruction of actions leads to the destruction of seeds, highlighting the power of restraint (nirodha) in controlling the outcomes. This can be seen as advice for practicing detachment and mindful action, focusing on the cessation of undesired consequences by regulating action.
