Translation (अनुवाद)
Abandon the notion of 'I' in the doer, as the self is falsely reflected in the fluctuating mind, leading to the cycle of birth and death, originating from the pure consciousness which is your essence of bliss.

Commentary (टीका)
This verse teaches the seeker to relinquish the egoistic identification with the 'doer' (*karma karta*), which is a product of psychological superimpositions (*adhyāsa*) on the pure consciousness. The ego (*ahaṅkāra*) wrongly attaches itself to changing mental phenomena (*vikārātmani*), leading to a false identification that is the root cause of the cycle of birth and suffering (*saṁsṛti*). True liberation is found in recognizing oneself as the reflection of the pure, immutable consciousness (*caitanya*), which is inherently blissful (*sukha*). By breaking this delusion, one can transcend the miseries associated with birth, death, and decay, and achieve spiritual freedom.
