Commentary (टीका)

This verse emphasizes the understanding and realization of Brahman beyond sensory perception. The true essence of Brahman is realized and contemplated within the hearts of those who have attained the state of a yogi, not through the ordinary sensory experiences which bind us to the material world. However, using the higher faculty of buddhi (intellect), one can comprehend this truth, which is inherently flawless (anavadyam). The phrase "tattvamasi" underlines non-duality by asserting the oneness of the self with Brahman, encouraging meditation (bhāvaya) upon this profound truth to discern one's true nature beyond limitations.
