Commentary (टीका)
This verse beautifully describes the nature of *Brahman* as understood in Vedantic philosophy. *Brahman* is depicted as *advitīya* (non-dual), signifying its incomparable and singular essence. It is a *viśuddha-vijñāna-ghanam*, meaning it embodies pure and condensed knowledge, free from the stains of ignorance (*nirañjanam*). *Brahman* is *prāśānta*, indicating deep peace unaffected by the disturbances of time and space. It transcends the limiting conditions of beginning and end (*āda-anta-vihīnam*), thus is eternal and beyond actions (*akriya*). Finally, *Brahman* is characterized by *nirantara-ānanda-rasa-svarūpam*, representing unending bliss, highlighting its nature as the ultimate source of happiness and satisfaction. This comprehensive description aims to guide seekers towards realizing the supreme reality, which is both the origin and the ultimate goal of existence.
