Commentary (टीका)
This verse explores the notion of misidentification with the buddhi (intellect) and the resulting illusion of separateness from the universal self. The sarvātman, or self of all, wrongly perceives itself as distinct due to the tādātmya-doṣa—the defect of identification with false selves. This separation is likened to clay forming distinct pots, underscoring the inherent unity obscured by perceived differences. The emphasis is on recognizing these false distinctions as illusions to achieve self-realization.
