Commentary (टीका)
This verse emphasizes the importance of detachment and dedication on the path to self-realization. Sole attachment to 'mokṣa' or liberation, requires uprooting of 'rāga', attachment to worldly 'viṣaya' or objects. All 'karma', actions, are to be renounced. With 'sat-śraddhā', true faith, one must persist in practices such as 'śravaṇa' (hearing scriptures), as this focused dedication aids in purifying the 'buddheḥ', intellect, from 'rajas', the nature of passion. This purification leads to a serene and liberated state of being.
