Commentary (टीका)
In this verse, the concept of advaita or non-duality is emphasized. It points out that during sushupti (deep sleep), the mind is absent, and hence, nothing is perceived. Drawing from this observation, the saṁsāra or worldly existence is understood to be a construct of the mind, not having any absolute reality. The verse encourages the seeker to contemplate on the nature of the mind and its role in creating the illusion of the world. By understanding that the external world is a mental fabrication, one can move towards realizing the ultimate truth, which is undivided and beyond dualities.
