देहेन्द्रियादावसति भ्रमोदितां विद्वानहं तां न जहाति यावत् । तावन्न तस्यास्ति विमुक्तिवार्ताप्य् अस्त्वेष वेदान्तनयान्तदर्शी ॥ १६२ ॥

dehendriyādau vasati bhramoditāṁ vidvān ahaṁ tāṁ na jahāti yāvat | tāvan na tasyāsti vimukti-vārtā'pi astveṣa vedānta-nayānta-darśī || 162 ||
Translation (अनुवाद)
As long as the learned individual does not give up the ego that arises from delusion embedded in the body and senses, there is no talk of liberation for him, even if he is an expert in Vedantic philosophy.
