Commentary (टीका)
The verse highlights a significant path of spiritual evolution where a seeker, having practiced diligently in one life, takes birth in a family of wise Yogins. Such a birth offers a unique environment conducive to continuing spiritual progress. This opportunity is recognized as exceedingly rare, as it provides both the natural inclination and the appropriate surroundings for spiritual growth. The previous birth's unfulfilled endeavors and accumulated spiritual merits shape this high-quality birth. This passage is a reassurance and an encouragement for spiritual practitioners, emphasizing that sincere efforts in spiritual practices will eventually yield fruit. In spiritual traditions, being born into such a family is seen as a great boon, facilitating the seeker in quickly attaining the path of liberation (mokṣa).
