अपि चेदसि पापेभ्यः सर्वेभ्यः पापकृत्तमः। सर्वं ज्ञानप्लवेनैव वृजिनं सन्तरिष्यसि।।4.36।।

Even if you are the most sinful of all sinners, you can cross over all sin by the raft of knowledge alone.

In this verse, it is emphasized that even the worst sinner can obtain redemption and cross the ocean of sin through the acquisition of knowledge, specifically the deep understanding or realization of the true Self (*ātmajñāna*). The term *jñānaplava* (raft of knowledge) signifies the transformative and redeeming power of spiritual wisdom, which is potent enough to surpass the dense accumulation of sins accrued by an individual.
