कर्मजं बुद्धियुक्ता हि फलं त्यक्त्वा मनीषिणः। जन्मबन्धविनिर्मुक्ताः पदं गच्छन्त्यनामयम्।।2.51।।

Transliteration (लिप्यांतरण)
karmajaṁ buddhiyuktā hi phalaṁ tyaktvā manīṣiṇaḥ। janmabandhavinirmuktāḥ padaṁ gacchantyanāmayam।।2.51।।
Translation (अनुवाद)
Sages possessing wisdom, after renouncing the fruits of actions born of karma, become free from the bonds of birth and reach the abode beyond evil—free of affliction and perturbation.

Commentary (टीका)
In this verse, the essence captured is the spiritual liberation achieved through the practice of detachment and wisdom. **Karmaja-phala** (कर्मज फल), or the fruit of actions born from karma, is inherently binding. The wise, or **manīṣiṇaḥ** (मनीषिणः), through **buddhiyukta** (बुद्धियुक्त)—the union with wisdom—abandon attachment to the outcome. This renunciation liberates them from the **janmabandha** (जन्मबन्ध)—the cyclical bonds of rebirth and transmigration.
By relinquishing desires and expectations tied to actions, they progress toward the **anāmaya-pada** (अनामय पद), an impervious state of existence untouched by the disturbances of worldly life. As articulated by Swami Sivananda and Swami Ramsukhdas, equanimity and knowledge of the Self dissolve the limitations of good and bad **karma**, leading to a transcendent existence—the **śāśvata avyakta** (eternal and imperishable abode). Through this path of detachment, comprehension of the Self is realized without the taint of birth, death, or afflictions, culminating in the attainment of one's innately unmodified state or **nirvikara-svarūpa** (स्वरूप) that is beyond all dualities in the worldly realm.
