एतदालम्बनँ श्रेष्ठमेतदालम्बनं परं । एतदालम्बनं ज्ञात्वा ब्रह्मलोके महीयते ॥ १७ ॥

Translation/Explanation
Hindi: यह आधार सर्वोत्तम है। यह आधार परम है। इस आधार को जानकर, ब्रह्मलोक में वह पूजनीय हो जाता है। यहाँ ‘आधार’ से तात्पर्य उस तत्त्व या सत्य से है, जिस पर समस्त साधना या ज्ञान आधारित है। जो साधक इस आधार को जान लेता है, वह ब्रह्म के लोक में प्रतिष्ठित और पूजनीय हो जाता है।
English: This ālambanam (support) is the best. This ālambanam is the highest. Knowing this ālambanam, one is worshipped in the brahmaloka (world of Brahman). Here, ‘support’ refers to that principle or truth upon which all spiritual practice or knowledge is based. The seeker who realizes this support becomes established and honored in the realm of Brahman.
Commentary
This being so, this ālambanam is the best, i.e., the most praiseworthy of all supports, to attain Brahman. This ālambanam is both the higher and lower; for, it leads to both the highest Brahman and the manifested Brahman, i.e., of the highest Brahman and the manifested Brahman. The meaning is: he becomes one with Brahman and he becomes fit to be worshipped like Brahman.
