स्वर्गे लोके न भयं किंचनास्ति न तत्र त्वं न जरया बिभेति । उभे तीर्त्वाशनायापिपासे शोकातिगो मोदते स्वर्गलोके ॥ १२ ॥

Translation/Explanation
Hindi: नचिकेता कहता है: स्वर्गलोक में किसी भी प्रकार का भय नहीं है। वहाँ तुम (मृत्यु) नहीं हो; और वहाँ कोई वृद्धावस्था से नहीं डरता। भूख और प्यास दोनों को पार कर लेने के बाद, जो व्यक्ति स्वर्गलोक में है, वह शोक से ऊपर उठकर आनन्दित होता है। यहाँ स्वर्गलोक को ऐसा स्थान बताया गया है जहाँ मृत्यु, वृद्धावस्था, भूख, प्यास और शोक जैसी सभी सीमाएँ समाप्त हो जाती हैं, और जीवात्मा पूर्ण आनन्द का अनुभव करता है।
English: Nachiketas says: In the realm of svarga-loka, there is no fear of any kind. You (mṛtyu) are not present there; nor does anyone fear old age in that place. Having crossed both hunger (aśanā) and thirst (pipāsa), one who resides in svarga-loka rejoices, being beyond all sorrow (śoka). Here, svarga-loka is described as a state where the limitations of death, aging, hunger, thirst, and grief are transcended, and the jīvātman experiences complete bliss.
Commentary
Nachiketas said, "In svarga-loka, there is no fear at all caused by disease, etc. Nor do you (mṛtyu) rule there with might." Therefore, none there fears you, as people in this world do in old age; again, having subdued both hunger (aśanā) and thirst (pipāsa), one in svarga-loka, being free from all afflictions of the mind, rejoices.
