जब किसी वस्तु के अवयव (अंग) अलग-अलग स्थानों पर हों और उनमें भिन्नता हो, तब उस अवयविन (संयुक्त वस्तु) के एक स्थान में न टिके होने के कारण संदेह उत्पन्न होता है। अर्थात्, जब किसी संयुक्त वस्तु के भाग अलग-अलग स्थानों पर हों, तो यह निश्चित करना कठिन हो जाता है कि वह वस्तु कहाँ स्थित है, जिससे संशय उत्पन्न होता है।
English
When the parts of a composite entity are located in different places, and there is multiplicity or difference among them, the composite entity is not fixed in one location. This lack of fixity leads to doubt. That is, when the components of a whole are in various locations, it becomes difficult to determine the location of the whole, resulting in doubt.
