इस सूत्र में कहा गया है कि पुनर्जन्म (पुनरुत्पत्ति) और मृत्यु के बाद की अवस्था (प्रेत्यभाव) का संबंध है। अर्थात्, मृत्यु के बाद जीव की जो स्थिति होती है, वही आगे चलकर पुनः जन्म लेने का कारण बनती है। न्याय दर्शन में यह माना गया है कि जीव का अस्तित्व मृत्यु के बाद भी बना रहता है और वह पुनः जन्म लेता है।
English
This sūtra states the connection between rebirth (punarutpatti) and the state after death (pretyabhāva). It means that the condition experienced after death is what leads to a new birth. In Nyāya philosophy, it is accepted that the soul continues to exist after death and subsequently takes birth again.
