Commentary (टीका)

This verse is an expression of deep reverence and recognition of the underlying divine principle manifesting through the universe and the guru. The salutation is offered to a mysterious and singular effulgence that perpetually manifests through the form of all creation. The concept of viśvarūpa emphasizes the omnipresence and omnipotence of the divine which is also personified in the guru. The guru is not just a teacher but also an embodiment of the universal truth, thereby serving as an eternal guide. Through this sloka, one is reminded of the interconnectedness of all things and the profound respect due to this universal truth.
