Commentary (टीका)

This verse delves into the concept of renunciation of false desires and attachments. The practitioner devoid of the desire to support falsehood and free from worldly attachments is portrayed here. The verse warns that if someone still indulges in falsehoods, they are certainly not freed from the metaphorical 'sleep' of ignorance. Here, *mithyārtha* signifies false meaning, representing illusory perceptions, while *nidra* signifies spiritual ignorance or sleep. The verse encourages vigilance and self-awareness, suggesting that true liberation requires freedom from false deeds and thoughts.
